The Last Holiday Concert – Andrew Clements

For the past 12 years, music teacher Mrs. Tambori has directed the chorus's popular holiday concert. But when the new middle school principal, Mr. Meinert, decides to cut the arts budget, he cancels the concert. The students, led by sixth-grader Hart Evans, decide to take matters into their own hands. They plan a secret, student-run concert to show the school board how important the music program is. It's a story about teamwork, creativity, and the power of students' voices.
